Support Groups / Community Events

Better Breathers (Support for people with breathing disorders) - meets on the first Thursday of the month at noon in the Ambulatory Care Pavilion, Conference Room 1. For more information call 341.6100 ext. 5440.

Grief Recovery Workshop - Three 4-week sessions are held throughout the year. Lead by Certified Grief Counselor Steve Edwards of Centennial Hospice, these sessions focus on "Taking Good Care of Yourself" while dealing with grief. Interested people can join at any time during the 4-week session.

Session dates for 2008 are: February 23-March 15 from 9:30am -11:30 am

April 23-May 14 from 5:30pm - 7:30 pm

September 24-October 15 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm

November 17 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm (Special "Coping with the Holidays" session)

Depression and/or Bipolar Disorders - has weekly meetings on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the physicians dining room. For information call 607.2858 or 844.7967.

Look Good...Feel Better - sponsored by the American Cancer Society meets three times throughout the year. Session dates for 2008 are January 14, June 24, and August 25. The class meets in Classroom 1 in the Ambulatory Care Pavilion from 2-4 pm. To obtain more information about the class, call 844.5700.

Diabetes Education Series - is a bi-annual diabetes education program, presented by Edmond Medical Center.  For more information about the program call. 341.6100 ext. #5719. 

Nutrition Lunch and Learn - meets the second Tuesday of the month at noon, in Conference Room 2 in the Ambulatory Care Pavilion. A light lunch is provided. For reservations call 844-5700.  Questions contact 844-5719.

Mothers of Multiples - meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Ambulatory Care Pavilion Conference Room 1. For information call 603-4532

Free Blood Pressure Screenings - Free blood pressure screenings are performed weekly by members of the hospital's volunteer auxiliary from

1- 5 pm in the Visitor's Entrance Lobby.
